We have a strong environmental ethos and view sustainability as a priority. Our timber is sourced from sustainably managed Devon woodlands and compost is collected in recycled food containers.
No Water or Electric
Thunderbox compost toilets are entirely off-grid, requiring no water or electricity. Our All Access model comes with solar lighting, toilet roll holder, bucket of sawdust and hand sanitiser and dispenser, so you’re all ready to go!
Hand Made To Order
Our Thunderbox kits are constructed using timber from our local sustainably managed woodlands. Whilst we may have some materials in stock, please allow 4-6 weeks for construction. We ask for a 50% deposit in advance and will advise on lead in time once this is received.

From forest schools to allotments, our All Access Thunderbox has the advantage of a single cubicle suitable for everyone. It has step free access via a ramp and is suitable for wheelchair users. The large cubicle has a sliding door and also a male urinal, hand sanitiser dispenser, solar lighting and 'To-Go' pack as standard, ready to use. It comes as a DIY kit with all fixings and clear assembly instructions or check with us about sending our team to install for you. A completely off grid compost toilet solution for all users.
