We have a strong environmental ethos and view sustainability as a priority. Our timber is sourced from sustainably managed Devon woodlands and compost is collected in recycled food containers.
No Water or Electric
Thunderbox compost toilets are entirely off-grid, requiring no water or electricity. Add one of our ToGo packs if solar lighting is required. We can also provide hand sanitiser dispensers for waterless locations.
Hand Made To Order
Our Thunderboxes are constructed using timber from our local sustainably managed woodlands. Whilst we may have some materials in stock, please allow time for construction. We ask for a 50% deposit in advance and will advise on a current lead in time once this is received.
Our Single Thunderbox from £2375
A simple toilet solution for any location
From forest schools to nature reserves, churches and allotments, our single Thunderbox can even provide en suite facilities for glamping accommodation. A single seater for smaller scale operations or remote individual siting, it is easy to erect and maintain and can even be installed in locations where vehicle access is restricted. With low volume use and the large capacity over one seat, this option can be almost maintenance free. However, good compost should always be the overall aim, and you may have to empty it some day, although it is not necessary to dismantle the whole Thunderbox in order to change the tank. Comes as a self assembly kit with all fixings and installation instructions.
