We have a strong environmental ethos and view sustainability as a priority. Our timber is sourced from sustainably managed Devon woodlands and compost is collected in recycled food containers.
No Water or Electric
Thunderbox compost toilets are entirely off-grid, requiring no water or electricity. Add one of our ToGo packs if solar lighting is required. We can also provide hand sanitiser dispensers for waterless locations.
Hand Made To Order
Our Thunderboxes are constructed using timber from our local sustainably managed woodlands. Whilst we may have some materials in stock, please allow time for construction. We ask for a 50% deposit in advance and will advise on lead in time once this is received.
Our Shed/Sink Single Thunderbox from £2500
A single cubicle on one side with either a sink or extra storage space behind
From forest schools to camp sites, our shed or sink Single Thunderbox provides a one cubicle toilet provision with extra space for a sink or storage instead of a second cubicle. With either a kitchen sink, or door providing secure storage capacity, they are easy to erect and maintain and can even be installed in locations where vehicle access is restricted. They come as a DIY self assembly pack with all fixings and clear assembly instructions. No ground works are required - just a level site. With this option, the composting tank can be changed over without having to dismantle the Thunderbox, although you will need to dismantle the sink or shed in order to access the composting tank.
